We got the first bill from the architects. That counts as progress, right?
No word from the lawyers. Our real estate agent is checking with them for a progress report, and also advice on what (if anything) should be done about the fact that the purchase contract expires on Wednesday.
We learned more yesterday. The previous owner had, in fact, already died when his son used his power of attorney to sell the land. Minor problem, since you aren’t allowed to sign anything after you are dead, even if somebody else is willing to move their still-functional muscles to do it for you.
