Weekend results: Ho hum

The 2.4 acre pieces look pretty nice, but the neighbor says they don’t perk.  A previous would-be buyer tried in a bunch of places, and none of them worked.  Minor issue.  I’m fairly certain that I want indoor plumbing in my dream house.

We drove out and looked at the 12 acre piece again.  What would we do with all of that pancake-flat flood plain (probably 8 or 9 acres of it)?  Can’t rent it to somebody with horses because of the covenants.  Wonder if we could lay out a soccer field and rent it to local teams?  Probably there’s something in the covenants against that too.  The view of the gray siding houses is not very inspirational - or avoidable, as the house site would be up on a high hill, the gray houses are up high as well.  Even leyland cypress would be hard-pressed to grow high enough to block them.  Plus it would take a thousand of them.

Did I mention the insanely tall transmission tower that’s on an adjacent parcel?  It’s very thin and relatively non-obtrusive, really.  Presumably they’re pretty sure it won’t fall over, as it would reach quite a ways.
